We had a great day-off in Hampi and it was fun to stay in the bazaar area because you are basically in the middle of all the ruins and next to a big Hindu temple', but we really wanted a beer and since it is a holy place / UNESCO world heritage site, it was definitely not available there. We've rarely seen beer available anywhere we've been, so when we heard we could take a rickshaw 4km from Hampi to have one, we did, and the experience was well', unique (and the beer was cold!). Oh, and in Hampi I got another shave ($1) at a 'Men's Parlor'.

We had a really short day today so just went slow and enjoyed the quiet scenery of the morning. It was a bit overcast and even sprinkled for a bit today, but the colors of the chilies and fresh rice were just popping, super beautiful. We also traveled next to a 'sloth bear sanctuary' for a while but didn't see any and weren't too afraid anyway, I guess they are probably slow.

We also had some kids wanting to challenge us to a wheelie contest but with loaded touring bikes we'd definitely get demolished. Upon arrival in Bellari, we were surprised that two of the hotels we had in mind were both booked full so we ended up down the road a bit. We went out for lunch and when we got back, Pawan the proprietor, handed us some white gold (TP), maybe winked, and said 'Indians don't use paper', we felt very understood from this point on. Anyway', the location ended up being pretty great as there was a supermarket across the street and a cool little food-truck scene in the lot in front.

One more day to Anantapur!
