Last day of cycling! After 2,179km / 1,353 miles and 117h of cycling, we rolled into Anantapur today just after noon. We were met by Fran's partner Marta who had arrived from Spain earlier this morning. I'll be honest, I shed a tear or two when we arrived. It's been a really amazing journey these last 4 weeks in India, but it's also been amazing to be able to join Fran on the last stage of his journey around the world, a journey whose first stage started in 2014, the year we met in Italy.

A thousand things could have gone wrong and derailed our trip.... our bikes could have been delayed, lost, or damaged in transit. One of us could have gotten sick from street food or had any number of cycling related injuries. We could have had mechanical issues on the road. While we did have to improvise a few solutions out there, nothing was insurmountable.

Journeys like this are great ways to calibrate your mindset. What do you really need on a day to day basis? How little can you live off of? What are your basic requirements to be comfortable and happy? We'll all answer these questions differently but you'll definitely understand the answers better when you take a few things away for a while.

We're in Anantapur for 2 more days with a handful of activities planned, and I head back to Chattanooga on Wednesday night.
